Chip-In for a Cause

 The Charity

All proceeds from Chip in for a Cause go directly to The Silverton Foundation, an Atlanta-based nonprofit founded in 2012 with the singular goal of making rent and mortgage payments to families with very sick kids who are in desperate financial straits.

When your child has a severe medical condition or illness, priorities shift to doing whatever it takes to care for them. The cost of ongoing hospitalization or treatments can stretch a family thin. The Silverton Foundation’s mission: provide mortgage or rent payments on behalf of families struggling with the crisis of a seriously ill child.

People lose their homes for a number of reasons; the most common being loss of job and health. For the families The Silverton Foundation serves, it’s even more compounded because the health is that of their child, and in many cases, we see at least one parent lose their job to care for the child.

Founded in 2012, The Silverton Foundation has connected with these families through Georgia-based hospitals, area nonprofits who focus on serving children, and previous clients who may be experiencing financial burdens due to a child’s illness.

The Silverton Foundation is an all-volunteer organization that receives funding through charitable donations and the support of our partner programs. Together, we can help families stay in their homes when they need it the most.
